Olympia Downtown Alliance Executive Director Todd Cutts to Lead Olympia Tumwater Foundation

Olympia, WA— The Olympia Downtown Alliance (ODA) announces that Executive Director Todd Cutts will be stepping down to accept the position of Executive Director at the Olympia Tumwater Foundation.

During his seven years with the Alliance, Todd has played a pivotal role in fostering the growth and vibrancy of downtown Olympia. Under his leadership, the Alliance introduced transformative initiatives such as the Downtown Guide Program and Downtown Maintenance Program, supporting a welcoming and clean downtown experience for residents and visitors. Todd also spearheaded the organization’s pandemic response efforts, including the launch of the LoveOly brand, which has become synonymous with celebrating local businesses and community pride.

Other key accomplishments during his tenure include the creation of the LoveOly Microgrant Program, providing vital support to downtown small businesses, and introducing community-favorite events like LoveOly SummerFest, which drew 15,000 attendees last summer, and the LoveOly Shop & Dine events that boost local commerce. Todd also strengthened the Alliance’s strategic partnerships with the City of Olympia, furthering collaborative efforts to enhance the downtown core.

Reflecting on his time at the Alliance, Todd shared:
“It’s been a real honor to play a role over the last seven years in supporting the success and growth of our downtown. With continued support from our membership, especially the Board of Directors and committee members, donors, and dedicated and passionate staff at the organization, I’m looking forward to enjoying the great work of the Alliance as a community member!”

The ODA Board of Directors extends their deepest gratitude to Todd for his visionary leadership and dedication to the downtown Olympia community. “Todd’s contributions to the growth and vitality of our downtown have been extraordinary,” said Shina Wysocki, Board President of the Olympia Downtown Alliance. “We wish him all the best in his new role and look forward to seeing him continue to make a positive impact in our region.”

As Todd Cutts prepares to transition to his new role as Executive Director of the Olympia Tumwater Foundation, the ODA Board has begun the search for new leadership to continue driving the organization’s mission of fostering a vibrant downtown Olympia. During the transition, Desiree Freeland, ODA’s Project Manager, will become Interim Executive Director. Todd’s final day with the Alliance will be December 13.
