Something fun is brewing in Downtown Olympia!
Gather your little ghosts, goblins, and ghouls for a hauntingly good time at Downtown for Halloween! This October, downtown welcomes friends and families to enjoy a Scavenger Hunt, Trick or Treating, and a Pet Costume Contest.
Presented by Captain Little and LoveOly, the Olympia Downtown Alliance, this Halloween event is packed with sweet treats and community spirit for kids and adults alike. Mark your calendars and check out more details below!
2-Week Scavenger Hunt
Oct 17 - 31
Find costumed rubber duckies at participating shops and restaurants! Grab a passport on-site or print yours below. Collect a sticker for each ducky you find. Completed passports enter you to win curated downtown gift card packages!
Family-Friendly Trick or Treating
Sat, Oct 31 | 3-6 pm
Bring the whole family downtown for Halloween! Participating shops and restaurants will open their doors to trick-or-treaters of all ages. Dress up in your favorite costumes and make sweet memories while collecting treats across downtown!
Pet Costume Contest
Sat, Oct 31 | 4-5 pm
Dress your pets to impress—claws and paws welcome! Join us at 5th Ave & Washington St to see local pets in their Halloween best. 1st and 2nd place awarded, plus vote online from 10/31–11/2 for the People’s Choice winner!
Seek & Shriek
Oct 17-31 | Find costumed rubber duckies at participating shops and restaurants.
HOW TO WIN: Visit 20 businesses for two chances to win including a shot at the grand prize. Visit at least 10 for entry into the regular drawing. Winners receive curated gift card packages from local shops!
DON'T FORGET: Turn in your passport by 6 PM on October 31 at one of the following redemption sites: Lolli Llama Candy Company, The Box Office at The Center (Tues-Fri, 12-5:30 PM or Sat 12-4) or Captain Little.

The LoveOly Downtown for Halloween Pet Costume Contest is back at 5th & Washington on Saturday, October 31. Paws, claws, tails, and scales are all welcome to strut their stuff.
Don't have a pet and just want to spectate? That's fine too!
1st and 2nd place prizes will be awarded on-site, plus you can root for your favorites in the People's Choice online vote from November 1 to November 2, 2026.
